Bedwetting

Adult enuresis, also known as bedwetting adult, is a problem that people are often too ashamed to tell their doctor about. Unfortunately, these people could probably be helped if they spoke to a qualified doctor. You may not be aware of this but a good number of otherwise healthy young adults suffer from adult enuresis.

I’m healthy, why is this happening. This medical condition also affects healthy and strong younger adults and even adolescents who have no other medical concerns. Daytime incontinence can be an issue with many older people, adult enuresis seems to affect people from all walks of life and cultural groups. It is not only the elderly who become a  bedwetting adult many suffer from adult enuresis, so don’t feel like you’re alone. Some adults have grown up wetting the bed all their lives, while some people later find themselves with a bed wetting problem after living years with no problems at all. Not all men and women have the same kinds of adult enuresis problems, there are two types of enuresis.

Primary nocturnal adult enuresis. This type comes from a family bloodline that may have physical ailments that is causing adult enuresis. Often people who suffer from primary nocturnal adult enuresis are from families with a genetic history. Genetics can play a big role in adult enuresis. The best way to combat this is with medication, bed wetting diapers and also bed wetting pants. Another way to help is a enuresis alarm to help you train your mind to wake up the minute the alarm feels moisture to stop an accident before it happens.

Secondary nocturnal adult enuresis. This type is the term used to describe adults who are having bedwetting issues later in life. Unexpected occurrences of bedwetting are commonly attributed to secondary nocturnal enuresis, which is often referred to as adult onset enuresis. This type of bedwetting can sometimes be caused by anxiety, excessive caffeine consumption before sleep or a physical problem that occurred later in life. This can be fixed by getting a good stress relieving activity such as yoga or tai chi to lower your anxiety. Try to cut down on the caffeine before bedtime, if you find you are going excessively it could be due to either a bladder infection or an overactive bladder. In the case of a bladder infection, they can be curbed with cranberry juice or pills, an overactive bladder is something that you do need to see a doctor. They can help with some medication to assist you or for a natural way, you can find herbal remedies that can sometimes eliminate adult enuresis.

The truth is..your not alone. Though it’s an confusing problem for millions of people, it’s important to remember that wetting the bed is a symptom of something and not an actual illness unto itself. Millions of men and women suffer from some sort of nocturnal adult enuresis. If your a bed wetting adult, it can be a sign of possibly a more complex medical condition. There is adult enuresis treatment centers that are testing  therapies including botox injections for bedwetting. This is maybe predicted in the future for treating the overactive bladder but still needs more testing and closer scrutiny to assess its effectiveness in treating adult enuresis or adult bedwetting.
